Steel Top Lock Nut

Haixin® Steel top lock nuts belongs to prevailing torque all-meta type hex nuts. Dimensions of steel top lock nuts shall conform to ASME B18.16.6 Table 10. Lock nuts shall be made of carbon steel and meet special mechanical and performance requirements. Ningbo Haixin Hardware has its own lab and testing center. Our required tests for steel top lock nuts including proof load, hardness, and prevailing torque can be done in our own laboratory. You can rest assured about the nuts quality.

All steel top lock nuts may be provided with an additional supplementary lubricant. Wax is clean and dry to the touch and is recommended as a supplementary lubricant on all steel top lock nuts.Grade A steel top lock nuts need not be marked. Grade B and Grade C nuts are marked to identify manufacturer and grade. Markings are in the form of three (for grade B) or six (for grade C) grade marking symbols.

Haixin® Steel top lock nuts can increase the friction between the nuts and its mating part. We have to apply a greater force to assemble the nut and also to remove it. Steel top lock nuts don’t loosen with vibration.Steel top lock nuts can be used in applications where excessive temperatures exist or where certain chemicals are used. What’s more, Steel top lock nuts are fully reusable. They can be used multiple times without appreciable loss in locking torque.
